Shop Supervisor

 

Responsibilities

 

§  Provide exceptional customer service at all times

§  Assist General Manager in implementing programs and procedures to ensure the safety of associates and customers

§  Assist General Manager in ensuring proper staffing with qualified personnel

§  Assist in training, coaching and development of associates

§  Communicate specific work assignments and responsibilities to associates

§  Personally work with and train staff in add-on sales and tire selling skills

§  Ensure inventory is secured, stored and only accessible to the associates in accordance with company guidelines

§  Ensure an atmosphere of professionalism exists at all times

§  Work to ensure center profitability

§  Implement all sales promotions, by informing the staff of commissions or spiffs as they become available

§  Ensure facility is “sparkling clean” in all aspects at all times

§  Perform all other duties as assigned

 

Basic Qualifications

 

·  High School Diploma

·  Exposure to people management

·  Exposure to automotive/diesel maintenance and repair

·  Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment drug screen & criminal background check as a condition of employment

·  Lift and carry merchandise, tires, etc. (up to an approximate weight of 100 pounds)

·  Frequently bend, stoop and reach in order to stock, service customers, etc. Must be able to use arms above head/shoulder area

·  Stand/walk for up to eight hours (short breaks provided throughout the shift)

 

Minimum Requirements

 

§  Good computer skills

·  Excellent communication skills

·  Ability to work in a fast paced environment

·  Ability to work with minimal supervision
