TechOps Support Engineer

Position Summary:Would you like to be part of a dynamic, agile engineering and support team? The company responsible for building the Advanced Repair Guidance Information System (ARGIS) (http://www.mpifix.com) is looking to expand their team by adding a new support engineer in Orem, UT. This position is responsible for troubleshooting and supporting existing ARGIS installations from a Network Operations Center (NOC) and ensuring successful deployment of software and data in a tier 3 capacity (highly technical and challenging).A qualified candidate needs to be proficient in working with Linux, Windows, MySQL, MS SQL and common open source networking tools. These will be used in a NOC environment to replicate system issues, automate system fixes and deploy regular production data and software. An eligible applicant must also be adept in reading and creating documentation that supports the solutions and processes. Essential Functions: - Coordinate work efforts and report status on a daily basis- Manage relationships between various groups within the company- Manage weekly deployments of software and data to new and existing customers- Support ad-hoc system issues, analysis and product support tasks- Build documentation, processes and scripts to automate and improve human intensive tasks- Understand and troubleshoot network infrastructure- Be flexible in working hours to monitor NOC processes or answer calls outside of regular work hoursSkills Required: - Ability to work independently- Strong written and verbal communication skills- MS SQL and MySQL administration- Windows and Linux administration- Linux administration experience- Microsoft and Linux networking tools experience- Networking, including routing, sub-netting, firewalls and email transportEducation and/or Experience: BA in Information Systems with two years of relevant experience. Microsoft or Linux certifications a plus.
