125 - OBD Engineer

FEV, a global engineering services leader that provides full vehicle support to the automotive community as well as the heavy-duty and commercial engine industry is seeking an engineer with experience in OBD for heavy as well as for light-duty applications. If you are interested in joining a team of experienced engineers creating advanced Diesel and Gasoline engine designs to address future performance, fuel economy and emissions requirements, FEV is where you want to be. Position Responsibilities:Responsible for the all aspects of OBD for heavy as well as for light-duty applications. Technical areas will include development of diagnostic strategies meeting the federal and California standards as well as their calibration and validation. The candidate will be responsible for interfacing with the regulatory agencies keeping the internal regulation database up-to-date. Experience with advanced diagnostic systems, such as Bosch EDC16/17, are helpful. The OBD Engineer will be involved in multiple development projects, providing technical guidance and project leadership to the various teams. The responsibilities associated with these projects include: support general planning and budgeting of development programs, support allocating facility and personnel resources, interfacing with Project Engineers and Technicians. In addition, the engineer will prepare and present data including condensed versions of legal terms of the OBD requirements internally and to customers.Qualifications: Production engine calibration skills and experience required Solid theoretical knowledge of the Internal Combustion Engine and Diagnostics Must be experienced with calibration tools Experience in both Gasoline and Diesel engines desired Familiarity with the Federal Code of Regulations as well as the CARB regulations Demonstrated teamwork, leadership and project management skills Exceptional customer communication and presentation skills Minimum 2 years experience in related positions Willingness to work with customers on-site BSME required For more detailed information regarding FEV, Inc. feel free to visit our web site at http://www.fev.com/.
