3rd Shift Supervisor

Takumi Stamping, a growing, progressive manufacturing facility located in the West Chester/Fairfield area is looking for a Shift Supervisor for our third shift. Hours are 8:00pm to 5:45am Sunday thru Thursday.


Our company is experiencing tremendous growth and provides an excellent opportunity for advancement. This is a highly visible leadership role which requires experience in a high volume manufacturing setting. You will be the key contact person for this shift, have accountability for over 130 associates and will be working with little to no supervision. 

 

 

  Essential functions:

 

§ Improve quality performance through process control, training and enforcement of work instructions. 

§ Develop daily/weekly manpower requirements and schedule personnel accordingly.

§ Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.

§ Lead cost reduction efforts of all manufacturing, technical and administrative personnel to ensure continued profit growth.

§ Maintain JIT manufacturing processes

§ Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, work crew and equipment.

§ Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.

§ Maintains a thorough technical knowledge of all products, including production facilities’ capabilities and limitations, product cost and quality standards.

§ Reviews activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine department progress toward stated goals and objectives.

§ Strong leadership skills are a critical requirement for this position.  The successful candidate will be detail-oriented with the ability to work both independently as well as part of a team.  Excellent critical thinking and communication skills are important in this position. 

 

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Undergraduate degree in engineering or business.  Five to Seven years manufacturing experience with demonstrated managerial and strategic planning skills.  Proven leadership ability with strong interpersonal and communication skills to carry out programs directed toward fulfillment of business objectives.
