Come and be a part of our 90-year history in the making as an Application Engineer!  NTN Bearing Corporation is a major division of a multinational manufacturing company providing highly engineered and quality precision components to the automotive and industrial industries.  We enjoy the prestige of being a major supplier of constant velocity joints and wheel bearings to both domestic and foreign auto manufacturers.  NTN has an immediate opening for an Application Engineer at our Michigan location.

 

BASIC FUNCTION:

· Fulfill the role of lead customer and internal contact for technical issues, APQP and program management related items while effectively communicating customer requirements to entire program team. 

· Provide technical expertise as primary Engineering representative. 

· Provide technical product skills to customers and effectively relay the customer requirements to NTN’s internal program team. 

· Analysis of input data and recommendations of correct product design for the application. 

· Champion APQP processes from business sourcing to post launch activities and managing the timing so assurance PPAP process will be met.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

§ BSME or similar 4 year undergraduate degree required.

§ Minimum of 1-3 years experience in the automotive industry, fundamental understanding of automotive Power train or Drive train systems.

§ The ability to function well in a team environment, possess good communication/presentation skills.

§ Knowledge and application of appropriate industry standards, manufacturing processes and CVJ knowledge is also required.

§ Knowledge of basic APQP concepts.
