And we welcome anyone who shares our commitment to ingenuity and excellence.EOE/AA EmployerThis position is located at the Johnson Controls, Inc. - Automotive Experience Group Office Campus in Plymouth, Michigan. Advanced Manufacturing Engineer The successful candidate will provide technical support and leadership across JIT Operations and the Engineering community for the development and improvement of manufacturing product, processes, and practices.  Assists with the roll out and implementation of developed manufacturing best practice standards across the manufacturing and engineering community. Responsibilities:Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods through the utilization of the following technical knowledge and best practices:  Product design, material and parts, fabrication processes, tooling, production equipment, assembly methods, quality control, and safety standards. Provide JIT plant feedback of manufacturing standards for identification of Continuous Improvement (CI) and Best Business Practices (BBP). Provide technical support and data for the Design & Assemble Initiative Conduct process and systems post-installation reviews and evaluation sessions, and based upon results of review, recommend appropriate changes or improvements Communicate weekly status of all on-going projects. Provide support to AFEs by assisting them with quoting, due diligence, bid comparisons/pricing and other items within candidate's functional area of expertise Adhere to Johnson Controls Inc. (JCI) internal processes, set standards, procedures and management reviews.

Qualifications:BS in an Engineering discipline Minimum 5 yrs. experience working in Manufacturing Engineering Automotive JIT engineering experience desired Automotive Interiors design, manufacturing, and/or assembly experience required Strong presentation and communication skills with an emphasis on clear and concise, verbal and written, technical documentation Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office and AutoCAD experience required) Must be open to working a flexible schedule
