The Auto Parts Group, a $200+ million, fast-growing division of Schnitzer Steel Industries, Inc., is seeking an individual that is passionate about cars to be our Car Buyer in the Sparks, NV area.  Schnitzer is a 100 year old publicly traded company with revenues in excess of $1.5 billion.  The Auto Parts Group is focused on consolidating the highly fragmented recycled auto parts market.  The Auto Parts Group consists of two operating divisions, Pick-n-Pull Auto Dismantlers and GreenLeaf Auto Recyclers, our self-service and full-service auto and truck dismantling division respectively. 

 

As a car buyer, you will be responsible for contacting and developing leads, closing deals and ongoing servicing of multiple vendor accounts within a geographic territory. You will research markets, determine primary decision makers and make presentations to internal and external vendors, including top-level decision makers. It's an exciting career with unlimited potential, and our standards are high.

 

So, what will it take to be successful?

 Three years outside purchasing or sales experience in the automotive industryExperience with Auto AuctionsSuperior customer service skillsStrong communication, presentation, and negotiation skillsEnergy, motivation, enthusiasm, and integrityA desire to move up the ladder Good driving record and insurable by company standards
