Automotive Tech, Alignment Specialist, General Maintenance Tech, and General Service Technician

There are several Allied Tires and Service Centers located in sunny Florida.  Allied Tires and Service Centers are professional, well-respected outlets, representing the best-selling, best-known tire brand in North America. This store format is built upon full-service offerings – selling tires and wheels, but also concentrating on a complete range of auto maintenance and repair specialties, including brakes, exhaust, engine work, suspension systems, heating/cooling, electrical and more.

 

Allied Tires and Service Centers are currently recruiting for an Automotive Tech, Alignment Specialist, General Maintenance Tech, and General Service Technician to work in one of their many faced paced locations in Florida. 

 

The Automotive Technician is responsible for being able to professionally inspect, repair and maintain services under MAP guidelines.  The Automotive Technician works with lube and oil filter, transmission service, alignment, computer systems diagnosis, tune-up, brake systems, steering and suspension.  The Auto Tech must explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include other associates and customers, as required and continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology.  The Automotive Technician maintains an organized service department.  An Automotive Technician must have two years of experience or more in mechanical/auto repair related work and experience working with vehicles and good mechanical skills.

 

The Alignment Specialist is responsible for being able to professionally diagnose and repair vehicle systems under MAP guidelines to promote Goodyear's high customer satisfaction levels.  The Alignment Specialist aligns wheels, axles, frames, torsion bars and steering mechanisms on vehicles.  Additionally, the Alignment Specialist corrects suspension and alignment problems and performs mechanical repair operations including diagnostic checks, tests and removal and repair of mechanical and electrical parts. Two years of experience or more in mechanical/auto repair related work is required as well as experience working with vehicles and good mechanical skills.

 

The General Maintenance Technician must have a mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose auto/tire service type work.  The General Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing a high level of customer service, as well as removing and replacing of parts, performing alignment services and suspension repairs on automobiles and light trucks and assisting and maintaining an orderly/clean service area.  A General Maintenance Technician also provides basic maintenance functions and performs basic brake service, while following established processes in performing Goodyear's standardized Vehicle Maintenance Inspection.  A General Maintenance Technician must have one year of experience or more in mechanical/automotive repair-related work and standard tools.

 

The General Service Technician is responsible for being able to professionally do non-technical automotive service repairs while ensuring Goodyear's high customer satisfaction levels are achieved. The General Service associate performs all tire and wheel related services while following Goodyear's "Good to Go Policy".  In addition, the General Service associate maintains cleaning and maintenance in the service department, showroom, exterior of building and tire racks.  To be a General Service Tech a candidate must have Six months or more of general automotive experience. 

 

Candidate Requirements:High school diploma or GED.Valid Driver’s license.At least 18 years old.Must be able to lift 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
