Our goal is to be your Employer of Choice!Bilingual (Japanese/English) Quality EngineerWe are currently seeking a qualified candidate for the above position.   This company is a Japanese automotive parts manufacturer. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide engineering support and contribute to product design to produce quality products at minimum cost. • Coordinate new model part and product development activities. • Establish and control project timelines. • Oversee tooling development and parts maturation. • Provide technical support and guidance to production and QC associates and other departments. • Report parts development status to management. • Ensure supplier quality. Provide support to suppliers to improve part quality. • Evaluate design change and cost reduction proposals. • Take part in specifications, design and tooling related queries. • Review and approve corrective action requests and responses. • Evaluate parts data and performance for acceptance into production. • Review and approve quality standards, ensuring critical control points are addressed. • Monitor department specific budget planning. • Attend Management Review/ISO 9000 meetings.QUALIFICATIONS • 3-10 years relevant experience in a JIT Assembly manufacturing environment (Automotive OEM).  • New model launch experience, including quality and engineering procedures. • Strong written, verbal, organizational and interpersonal skills.  • Must be fluent in Japanese (native level fluency)COMPENSATION:BENEFITS: 50-70K DOE.  This position is equivalent to a manager level and a company car is provided.
