Buyer - Manufacturing Experience a MUST!

Responsible for overseeing the purchasing of all perishable tooling and general shop supplies.  Locate new sources of supplies, conduct purchasing negotiations with suppliers, and to establish terms and conditions governing purchases.  Also resolve supplier problems and concerns.

DUTIES % OF TIME
• Drive analysis to reduce inventory cost . 
• Continue to search for better products without  jeopardizing quality, price or delivery 20%
• Work with suppliers on pricing and delivery 20%
• Coordinate projects 15%
• Work with Senior Buyer to develop vendor contacts and negotiate contracts 10%

STANDARDS

• Work with suppliers on pricing and delivery • Arranging blanket purchase orders for products to be held for release to take advantage of price breaks.

• Develop vendor contacts and negotiate contracts • Conduct purchase negotiations involving issues with suppliers and establish agreement on terms as well as resolve any issues with supplier performance.
