Polytorx is seeking a highly motivated person to take responsibly for the long term improvement of its Grand Rapids, Michigan manufacturing operation.

The following outlines the requirements for this hands-on position:

• The drive to succeed and the ability to back it up
• Strong interpersonal skills with the desire to take charge
• Keen analytically ability
• Good written/verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; self-motivated
• Experience with Six Sigma and other quality tools
• A degree in engineering

Some of the activities include

• Collect and analyze data on current operations and machine performance, propose, test and eventually implement machine improvements
• Identify and implement improvements in methods, procedures, equipment, or work flow which increase output or quality.
• Manage preventive maintenance scheduling and establishing MTBF limits.
• Use weekly production reports for trend analysis.
