Our client, a major Construction, Earthmoving & Mining Equipment and Diesel Engine manufacturer seeks accomplished Engineers with background in Engine Controls development, hands-on aptitude for Engine development & diagnostics; past experience in Engine testing and validation greatly desired.

DESCRIPTION:

This Engineer will work as a team-member of Mechatronics Controls section in Fuel System's Center of Excellence; this team is responsible for verification and validation of Tier IV and Truck Engine controls and diagnostics.Specific responsibilities will include developing, implementing, and analyzing verification and validation plans for Control strategies on Tier IV and Truck engines.Other responsibilities include validation through simulation, bench testing, working on engine test cells, and actual machine/vehicle testing.The individual must be able to work in a team, have a systems engineering focus, and be motivated to meet/exceed customer expectations.


REQUIREMENTS:At least BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or other Engineering disciplines with emphasis in Control Theory or System Dynamics.Theoretical/industrial experience with diesel or gasoline engines.Experience in troubleshooting engine systems via PC based tools; experience in Lab instrumentation and Data acquisition systems.Experience with Matlab/Simulink software for Controls development greatly desired.In addition to technical ability, this person must be willing to get their 'hands dirty' with engine system hardware, test engine controls in Lab and on vehicles, and think/act on problems outside their area of expertise.
