Corporate Controller

TK Holdings Inc./TK-ESS (Takata) is looking for a Corporate Controller for our Farmington Hills, Michigan office. We are a small electronics division of a $4 Billion Tier 1 and 2 automotive supplier of safety equipment. Takata is an industry leader in seatbelts, air bags, steering wheels, interior components, and crash detection and avoidance electronics.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing budgets and overseeing all finance reporting and interface with Corporate finance personnel.  Additional responsibilities include support of M&A activity and establishing overseas operations (WOFEs), with subsequent financial reporting and support duties.

 

Some job responsibilities include:Developing, managing, and analyzing budgets for the TK-ESS Operation; and analyzing financial information to determine present and future financial performance. Managing balance sheets to insure adequate accruals/reserves consistent with internal accounting policies; and coordinating necessary adjustments with accounting organization during month, quarter, and year-end close.Performing general accounting functions/approvals consistent with internal controls/procedures which may include: expense report approvals, purchase requisition approvals, and American Express administration. Managing/Controling product quotation activities: developing pro forma operations models; reviews, and approving quotations for contractual business renewals and new business opportunities. Directing and overseeing all aspects of finance and accounting for a China WFOE Operation:Legal, financial plan, finance personnel new employee selection, insurance, taxes, payroll processing, IP/Technology agreements, building leases, and cash transfers.  M&A support including: acquisition candidate valuations, due-diligence support, synergy benefit analysis, and business case development. Making recommendations to management regarding cost savings or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies. Providing required support to Internal and External Auditors.

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance/Accounting, or related discipline; Master’s Degree preferred.  10 or more years of directly related financial reporting, analysis, and management experience; some background in global financial analysis and reporting strongly preferred
