CARQUEST with its corporate headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina, is the premier supplier of replacement parts, accessories, supplies and equipment for virtually all makes of domestic and foreign automobiles, as well as light and heavy-duty trucks, off-road equipment, buses, recreational vehicles and agricultural equipment.

 

CARQUEST currently has a need for Corporate Recruiting Manager to work within the Human Resource department.  To support our growth and to meet our company objectives in attracting and retaining the best people.  The Talent Acquisition Group is the fastest growing team in the company!

 

POSITIONS ARE LOCATED IN RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA.

 

Reports to the Director of Talent Acquisition.  Implements the recruiting strategies for assigned job families to recruit and hire exceptional talent to meet business needs. Work with key business partners to ensure effective and efficient recruiting practices. Supervise assigned recruiters responsible for the staffing support of multiple business segments and locations. Source and recruit qualified candidates for CARQUEST assigned business segment job openings.  Effectively use creative internal and external sourcing channels to assure that business planning and staffing goals are met. Establishes and maintains relationships with hiring managers to identify talent gaps in order to proactively recruit for current and future hiring. Essential Job Functions

 

· Partner with business managers to implement recruiting strategies and ensure understanding of hiring needs, critical job competencies and hiring parameters

· With minimal supervision, manage team of recruiters and recruiting coordinators to hire exceptional talent in a cost effective manner and recruit for openings as needed
· Supports the implementation of the diversity hiring initiative, including creative sourcing, attention to diversity in vendor contracts, and collaborates with business managers
· Work on recruiting function improvements and other related tasks as assigned

· Work on and improve the Recruiting Management System (RMS / ATS) using Peopleclick
· Ensure hiring managers are supported by the team and are educated on legal and effective interviewing techniques, affirmative action goals, diversity initiatives, and employment policies and procedures
· Manage and coordinate sourcing avenues including community group activities

· Maintain knowledge of best practices in sourcing, assessing and selecting employees and act as internal consultant

· Manage vendor relationships and continually analyzing outsourcing opportunities in coordination with Talent AcquisitionRequired Experience and Skills

 

· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in work experience is required

· Must be able to comprehend business structure and terminology for areas supported

· Course work in Employment law (PHR or SPHR certification preferred)

· Adept at Public speaking

· Must be process oriented

· Must have strong Team Leading and Coaching skills

· Must possess strong negotiation skills
· 8+ years recruiting experience to include at least 3+ years supervision experience

· Preference for candidates who also have experience in a contingency or retained search environment
· Must have a strong customer service orientation

· Must have knowledge of EEO and employment related laws

· Competencies needed are: Networking skills, negotiation skills, developing others, political savvy, recruiting technical expertise, sales ability, business acumen, process management skills, continual learning, and influencing skills
