Cost Accountant

JOB DESCRIPTION:      

An exciting opportunity to join a fast growing start-up company in the clean-tech business. Our company focuses on battery power systems for industries such as automotive, marine, and aviation, and thanks to recent contract awards we need to expand our organization with a Controller / Accountant. The position is new, and the ideal candidate will have certain flexibility in defining the position. Day-to-day activities will include preparing cost / income analysis and reports for project leaders and the CEO. In addition, the person will be responsible for preparing annual, quarterly and monthly financial statements to the management team, the board and the shareholders.  Nilar is headquartered in Sweden, with a wholly owned US subsidiary, so international accounting experience is required.  This position will report directly  to the CFO, and will support all department heads in the US.

 

Immediate specific job requirements will include:

Analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses, for Nilar Inc. and for key projects.

Reports organization's finances to management, and offers suggestions about resource utilization, tax strategies, and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.

 

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

                5-8 years experience in an accounting / controlling function

                Experience in multi-site management is required

Experience in international accounting, particularly Swedish-American companies is a plus

Experience with Peachtree, QuickBooks or similar package is required.  Experience with ERP packages, such as SAP is a plus

                Requires Bachelors degree in Accounting

                Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft applications is required

                Drug Test and CBC

 

CANDIDATE EXTRAS:  

            Bachelors’ or higher in accounting or equivalent

            CPA is preferred

Swedish language skills (written/verbal) is a plus

             

Travel and Relocation:   

            Less than 10% Travel

            Some local and international travel may be required

            No Relocation assistance offered
