Design Engineer

 

Major responsibilities

 Leads and drives execution of new product development auto parts projects Responsible for product design including 3D math data and 2D drawings using Catia Facilitates communications between the customers and manufacturing plants Partners with product management and sales by assisting in determining and meeting the customer requirements, along with assessing the product performance, manufacturability, and costs Sets and achieves project objectives, kick-off, milestones, on-time completion and post-project effectiveness analyses Contributes to design direction of projects Helps determine and control costs for projects Drives issues analyses and resolutions required to meet project objectives Generates reports as needed for executive management

 

Qualifications/Experience

 3 - 5 years experience in mechanical parts design (auto subframe-suspension highly desirable) Catia 3D modeling and 2D drawing experience desirable Must have excellent problem solving and decision making abilities Must be able to communicate effectively and work in a team environment

 

 

Education

 

· Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering

 

Working Conditions

 

· Normal work hours are 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday – Friday

· Overtime is worked as required
