Development Engineer

Lang-Mekra North America, LLC is a tier 1 supplier of vision systems to the heavy trucking industry located in NE Columbia, SC.

We are currently seeking aDevelopment Engineer.  Position will conduct product development to ensure timely completion of product design releases and ensure product design meets required engineering specifications.  Must be able to propose designs or design modifications to improve quality, cost, and efficiency.  Plan and initiate effective and efficient test plans (DVP&R's).  Also provide technical engineering support to other departments as required. Must have the ability to create an innovative environment.  Development and design of customer and internal initiated projects.

Ideal candidate must have a high level of organizational and technical skills.  Excellent computer, written and verbal communication skills required.  Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience required.  Five - Ten years previous experience in manufacturing required.  Automotive Manufacturing  a plus. 

Familiarity with AIAG engineering documentations and practices a plus.
