Diesel Fuel Systems Engineer:

 

The person should have about 5 years experience in the majority of categories below with emphasis on the performance and experimental side of things, including controls / OBD.

 Product development and validation processes related to high pressure diesel fuel injection systems. Excellent technical grasp of high pressure diesel fuel injection electro-hydraulic system fundamentals. Application experience with low pressure fuel supply systems on medium or heavy duty trucks. Engine dyno or hydraulic bench application experience in the electronic calibration, mapping, and performance details of fuel injection systems. Test cell and/or vehicle engineering experiences, including writing test instructions, acquiring data, analyzing and presenting results.

Fuel system troubleshooting and service and fault code tree structure, if not also OBD protocol. Hardware and/or software failure analysis and problem resolution techniques and reporting procedures (ex: 8D) Familiarity with product validation processes and planning, including variants of FMEA’s and tracking of design verification and validation progress.

 Ability to work within a cross functional, cross discipline team, including supplier base. Ability and clearance to travel across the US and internationally. BS (or higher) Engineering degree
