DIRECT MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:



The Manager, Direct Marketing and Communications will oversee the development of direct marketing campaigns in support of a national retail distribution network. Critical functions include the following: direct mail, print advertising, special promotions, customer retention programs, public relations, and regional trade show support.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



· Lead/manage the activities of Regional Direct Marketing Analysts in their assigned territories; ensure all activities have a measurable ROI and provide best-in-class support of management and operations

· Direct/support the integration and utilization of the Customer Relationship Management platform (ACT2007), market cultivation/prospecting system (InSight), and Sales Territory Management process.

· Oversee the branding strategy – reinforce brand positioning as the market leader.

· Develop and manage the company’s national and regional web-based marketing strategy; one that effectively communicates the brand’s value proposition, improves brand awareness, and generates qualified sales leads for the distribution network.

· Manage national marketing & advertising campaigns that support the company’s marketing strategy and sales/distribution objectives.

· Provide marketing support as required for Canadian operations.

EDUCATION:

A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a technical field is required. Advanced degree would be an advantage.



PREFERED EXPERIENCE:

· 5+ years of OEM industry experience, or related marketing experience is preferred.

· Previous supervisory experience preferred.

· Applicant must possess an entrepreneurial spirit, and be results oriented.

· Excellent project management, written and oral communication skills required.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred.

· Experience with business-to-business and business-to-consumer marketing and communications preferred.
