Director - Business Excellence

QUALIFICATIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSREQUIREMENTS: •Deliver significant operational improvement and financial benefit across the Available to Build value stream.•Align Six Sigma initiative and project objectives to business strategy, and prioritize projects accordingly•Train, coach and develop Process Owners, Champions, Black Belt and Green Belt resources in Six Sigma tools and methodology to ensure timely completion of projects with expected internal and external customer results•Act as change agent to instill Six Sigma culture throughout the organization•Lead complex, high-visibility projects across the multiple departments involved in the Available to Build value stream•Provide demonstrated technical leadership and expertise in project reviews and strategic direction setting•Integrate best practices into Six Sigma curriculum and ensure transfer of best practices across locations/departments•This position requires 25% + travel.KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE SHOULD INCLUDE:•Completion of transactional projects with demonstrated success and financial benefit in the area of supply chain management.•Technical competency in Six Sigma skills including DMAIC, DFSS, Lean, Work-out, process management and advanced statistical techniques•Strong Lean experience•Proven leadership, project management, problem-solving and team development skills•Experience coaching and delivering training at all levels of an organization •Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and facilitation skills•Proficiency in Windows, Minitab, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or related field is required. An ASQ Master Black Belt designation is required. An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of management experience in a complex multi-country organization, ideally in the manufacturing industry with significant supply chain expertise. Continuous improvement experience is critical. This position requires 25% or more travel.
