ENGINEER II - QUALITY

Genie Industries is a $2 billion (revenue) division of Terex Corporation. Genie, based in Redmond, WA, has approximately 4500 team members spread throughout the globe, though Redmond is the primary location, with 3000+ team members across the corporate campus. Management desires to maintain much of the small company informality while implementing some of the large company disciplines that are required in today's environment.       Ensures effective implementation of Genie quality assurance processes. Supports manufacturing and administration through measurement, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action and process standardization and documentation. This position requires excellent communication skills and technical proficiency.   . ASQ Certified Quality or Reliability Engineer preferred (may substitute suitable experience); • 4 year mechanical engineering degree required (may substitute suitable experience). • Strong project management skills. • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and methods is a plus. • Understanding of common business metrics • Experience performing quality system audits is a plus; • Ability to eliminate Quality challenges using poke-yokes and Zero QC techniques • Ability to compile and analyze data • Understanding of SPC, and process capability determination • Technical expertise to identify root cause through data analysis • Ability to develop and implement improvements quickly • Excellent problem solving skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to teach others • Ability to work independently, and within a team • Flexibility to work overtime, different shifts, and travel on short notice as necessary • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at one time. • Availability for frequent domestic and possibly international travel.         • Hands on experience in a fabrication/assembly shop environment preferred; • Proficiency with computers, including MS Office products; • Experience in an ISO 9000 or equivalent Quality System preferred; • Experience in lean manufacturing preferred.     If interested, please apply online at http://track.jobviper.com/ViewJob.asp?id=504552-3-573
