Employment Assistant Manager (914)

General Summary:

To manage the Employment and Staffing areas by coordinating the recruitment, interviewing, and selection of candidates for Managerial, Professional, Production and Maintenance Positions. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to accountabilities below):Supervise the recruiting, interviewing and selection of candidates to ensure timely replacement, and effective orientation. Oversee the relocation program for newly hired team members and expatriates Work with management to assist in developing and implementing an organizational strategy for determining and filling position openings to ensure corporate goals are being met. Supervise the development of effective recruiting sources to provide timely, quality and cost efficient placements. Participate in strategic planning for corporate organizational development to ensure that employment needs are met. Responsible for coordination and preparation of weekly and monthly employment and staffing reports for the company organization in order to show results compared to budget and other employment and staffing-related data.  

QUALIFICATIONS and JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, Competencies):Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resources Management or a related area Five to seven years of employment and staffing experience within a human resources function in a manufacturing setting Prior leadership or supervisory experience within a human resources function Excellent project, analytical, and written communication skills Ability to deal with issues of variable complexity from routine to strategic Must have working knowledge of federal and state labor law (NLRA, FLSA, ADA, FMLA,TITLE VII) Ability to exercise exceptional independent judgment and discretion Must be willing to work varying hours, overtime, and rotating shift schedules Have experience working with integrated computer programs and/or applications. Have HRIS experience and analytical skills. Have strong problem-solving, administrative and organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects and programs. Be able to maintain the confidentiality of any information s/he encounters.  

SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREDExperience working with word processor, spreadsheet, database, desktop publishing, and presentation applications and/or software.
