Principal Responsibilities:

·  Test mechanical components of engine & transmission

·  Separate engine, transmission and transfer case – removes a/c compressor, starter, etc.

·  Repairing driveline parts such as engine, transmission, and axle differentials (primarily out of the vehicle)

·  Diagnose problems with driveline parts

·  Must be able to understand and apply repair information given on all makes and models, domestics and foreign

·  Testing repaired items

·  Following LKQ testing guidelines

 

Qualifications

·  High School Diploma or equivalent experience

·  Tools required

·  Experienced and knowledgeable of automobiles and parts

·  Extensive mechanical component experience is a must

·  Forklift experience preferred

·  Hands on position & must be able to lift up to 100 pounds

·  Must be detail oriented

·  Motivated and fast paced personality

·  Multi tasking, good decision maker, goal oriented

·  Must be able to work independently and accurately

·  Must be dependable with excellent attendance history
