Job Description Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc (TEMA)  Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc (TEMA) is the alignment of Toyota's North American R&D and manufacturing operations, joining the operations, planning and technical functions.  Established in April 2006, TEMA strengthens Toyota's North American customer focus, through improved supplier cooperation, overall speed, flexibility and attention to quality.  TEMA headquarters in Erlanger, KY, house the Toyota Operations Center and the Toyota Planning Center.  The main offices for the Toyota Technical Center are in Ann Arbor, MI.  This position is in the Paint & Finishing (G11) group of the Materials Engineering 1 (MED1) department, located in Ann Arbor, MI.  The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Planning and carrying out the evaluation of paint materials and painted parts. Managing material development for vehicle development projects. Understanding and applying Toyota standard methods and procedures. Communicating and coordinating with Toyota North American Manufacturing Plants and Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan to accomplish objectives.   B.S. in Chemical or Material Science Engineering. New graduate with co-op experience preferred. Knowledge of automotive materials, production processes and test methods are preferred. Knowledge of engineering theory, design principles and design of experiments. Good project management and time management skills. Good analytical and problem solving skills.
