Environmental Engineer

· Facility liaison directly to the USEPA, SCDHEC, OPEMA, U.S. Dept. of Transportation.

· Perform the appointed duties of the EMS Management Representative for US Operations. Report on the performance of the EMS to top management as a basis for EMS improvement.

· Manage, develop, implement and maintain environmental compliance programs, including ISO 14001.

· Acquires and develops facility operating permits as required by State and federal Laws.

· Manages all hazardous waste materials and hazardous waste programs.

· Facility Environmental Emergency Coordinator and SPCC coordinator.

· Conducts environmental audits for facility and maintains required environmental records and programs.

· Responsible for environmental training programs.

· Monitors and tracks active permit issues including corrective action programs.

· Develop, manage, and maintain the facility-recycling program.

· Oversee energy utilizations  Other duties as directed by Manager

 

Competencies

· BS in science or related program plus environmental background

· 5-10 years of hands on experience with environmental regulatory or industrial experience.

· Good communication skills

· Must possess detailed and current knowledge of US EPA, SC DHEC, US DOT regulation and programs.

· Good computer skills.

· Knowledge of TS 16949, ISO 14001 and 18001
