Manufacturing/Production/Operations Relevant Work Experience: 2+ to 5 Years Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Job Description JOB SUMMARY: Blast Finishing Consultant and Trouble Shooting Specialist.  Provides technical assistance to all departments and to customers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Provides technical assistance to all departments, distributors and customers (travel required).2. Contacts key customers to assist and explain Empire automation equipment.3. Gathers and interprets information on customer requirements.  Communicates this information to Applications for quotation processing.4. Processes customer inquiries or questions which require special attention.5. Assists Engineering, distributors and sales on Automation Applications and orders requiring special attention.6. Assists Engineering in interpreting customer requirements during E-Order processing.7. Negotiates new or existing Technical Service orders as required.8. Confers with Applications, Engineering, Production and customers regarding problems, errors or warranty complaints as needed.9. Assists Engineering in solving unusual or unexpected problems with Automation orders.10. Monitors E-Orders in process as required to maintain quality and continuity. Conducts Final quality surveys as required.11. Assists in new product development and testing.12. Provides assistance in implementing test procedures, coordinating tests and interpreting test results.13. Manages the RMA product returns. EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:1. Knowledgeable in all aspects of Abrasive Blast Cleaning and Shot Peening Processes and Equipment.2. Able to analyze and develop preliminary system concepts to meet acceptable design and functional standards.3. Good verbal and written communication abilities.4. Good mathematical, electrical and mechanical aptitude.5. Pleasant and effective manner.  Able to promote good associate and customer relationships.6. Ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel.7.
