QUALIFICATIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSProvide support, financial analysis and reporting on the financial development of Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation. REQUIREMENTS: Maintain proper controls environment on all disbursement practices included NPM, P-Card Activities and check requests.  Monitor activity for compliance with procurement policies and capital/expense/inventory classification. Develop and maintain reconciliations of key reserve and other balance sheet accounts.  Prepare related journal entries as necessary.  Maintain general ledger, supporting ledger and analysis required to ensure accurate and relevant information.  Prepare monthly entries and financial statements.  Provide reports on a regular basis, as required and requested.  Research discrepancies and resolve as required. Develop and maintain exception reporting on overhead expenditures against Plan.  Provide oversight and analysis to ensure department/facility work to control costs.  Assist with the evaluation, costing, and price negotiation for the purchase/lease of office equipment or other areas, as assigned.  Provide recommendations to management for approval and implementation. Maintain the daily activity, within area of responsibility, in order to make accurate reports reflecting the company’s production, sales and inventory status.  Reconcile as necessary. File monthly and quarterly sales and use tax returns and maintain a spreadsheet with all the tax information for the yearly tax reporting, as required. Handle special assignments and responsibilities as requested by department supervisor/manager including, but not limited to, adhoc financial analysis. Assist in the annual and mid-range planning and budgeting process.  Prepare future year fixed budgets and capital plans on an annual basis and provide reports as required.  Provide support for the development of financial models and forecasts for unit reporting, product costs by business segments and fixed and variable expense analysis.
