FLEET OPERATIONS MANAGER

Description

Responsible for the continued expansion and deployment of a 7 day a week emergency road services fleet operation in the Houston metro area.  Duties include hiring staff (service technicians and dispatch), directing daily operations, counseling and coaching employees as appropriate, change management, aggressive cost control, productivity improvements, result analysis and reporting, and ensuring high quality emergency roadside assistance to members.  Operational duties include oversight of facility, vehicles and personnel to assure optimal productivity and cost efficiency while maximizing member satisfaction.  Responsible for a daily and monthly P&L statement preparation and review. required to reach specific cost, productivity, and member satisfaction goals.

Requirements

4 year college degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or equivalent work experience preferred.  Minimum 5-8 years of management experience with an emphasis on customer service required.  Progressive supervisory or management experience within an emergency road service environment preferred.  Previous experience managing large external vendor networks desired.  A proven ability to produce recommendations and proposals, and a demonstrated ability to handle effective negotiations and complaint resolutions desired.  Advanced communication skills required, both written and oral.  Must possess advanced management, organizational and time management skills.  Ability to evaluate financial and legal documents, prepare and analyze financial reports, develop cost benefit models and create detailed proposals and recommendations required.  Ability to multi-task, balance numerous and diverse operations, as well as possess the ability to work well with all levels of employees and management required.  Must have advanced proficiency in using MS Office software including, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.

Prioritize work and projects;  providing accurate and timely reports Use computer software to accurately prepare detailed reports Effectively manage/lead people and multiple projects Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Work with contract vendors to maintain a checks and balance system for all repairs
