TitleHr GeneralistDepartment(s)Human ResourcesReports toDirector of Human ResourcesSummary of essential job functionsThe HR Generalist primary duties are to maintain and administer Checkered Flag Motor Car Co., Inc. benefits programs, recruiting exempt, non-exempt employees, and resolving employee relations issues. Responsible for administration of all welfare and qualified benefit plans offered by the Company. Works closely with the Payroll Department regarding employee benefits deductions.  Oversees benefit meetings, employee open enrollments, company wellness and Employee Assistance Program. Responsible for maintaining accurate benefits records. Tracking of Employee Benefit Participation, including targeting newly eligible employees and terminating benefits coverage for separated employees.  Keep abreast of current changes in benefits laws as well as tracking changing trends to help keep Company offerings competitive. Other duties include implementation of human resources policies, procedures and programs maintaining compliance with Federal employment laws.   Responsible for maintaining and updating the Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).  Experience with employee relations, training and development.  Must have demonstrated ability and expertise in recruitment to include retention initiatives of staff. In addition individual must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.§ Responsible for reconciling and allocation of Carrier Bills.  Submission of all Carrier and Vendor bills to Accounting for payment.§ Administers HRB or current HRIS Package§ Responsible for Cobra Administration§ Works with and Coordinates Company’s needs with vendors/brokers§ Oversees 401k Plan Administration§ Works closely with Insurance Providers and Broker to ensure Company Policies are adhered to and managed correctly§ Administers FMLA Policy and Short Term Disability Plan§ Ensures Payroll compliancy relating to all benefit deductions and reporting§ Ability to effectively create, interpret and communicate Company Policies and Procedures§ Demonstrated ability in interviewing and selecting candidates in exempt and non-exempt positions § Demonstrated ability conducting employee relations investigations and resolving issuesMinimum requirementsA Bachelor’s degree and PHR certification is preferred.  Professional demeanor with  3-5 years of Benefit Administration and/or  Human Resources experience, including but not limited to Worker’s Compensation, EEOC, HIPPA, EAP, Cobra Regulations, Employment Law, FMLA, Disability, 401K Plans. Working knowledge of ADP Payroll Systems. HRIS experience. Excellent communication and writing skills are must.  Experience at Presenting and Training in front of employees at all levels.
