Applus+ Home Inspections, Inc. is a fast-growing, entrepreneurial home inspections company which provides retail home inspections to a diverse clientele. 

 

 

CORE ROLE: Duties primarily include working with current corporate and program HR staff on various projects in the areas of Training and Development; Staffing; Employee Relations; HR Administration; HRIS software product Ceridian; Benefit Administration; New Hire Orientation; Employment Law; and Employee Records Maintenance.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work with HR team to learn the general principles of HR administration and management

Assist with the HR staffing efforts

Work with HR Staff in creation of training materials and training facilitation

Learn and apply employment law to real life situations

Assist in the administration of the Performance Management/Appraisal Process

Facilitate the 2008 Employee Opinion Survey

 

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

 

Knowledge of basic principles and practices of human resources administration and shows initiative and focuses on matters before they become urgent

Must demonstrate superior oral and written communication skills and excel in relating with others

Have the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other management staff and employees

Exceptional PC skills with proficiency using MS Office Suite and other software applications

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Strong attention to detail, with a demonstrated ability to multi-task and excellent organizational skills

Cooperative attitude with team-oriented disposition

 

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

Current College Junior/Senior pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or related field; Masters Degree Candidates will also be considered

One year of administrative or office experience

Prior Human Resource experience a plus

Must be available to work a consistent schedule 

Number of hours per week is flexible (College Credit offered)
