J2EE Application Architect

This position requires a combination of software architecture and development skills centered around the J2EE platform. This individual will be a member of The Client's J2EE Center of Excellence. They will be working as consultants in the J2EE and SOA space. They will be utilize their skills in J2EE best practices, design patterns, and object-oriented analysis and design. They will also be expected to research advanced concepts to develop reusable solutions to recurring problems within The Client. Experience with UML and the Rational Unified Process is and with The Client J2EE Applications (The Client Transaction Pattern) is preferred.


 

Skills/Experience Required:
8+ yrs Software Development experience including:4+ yrs of J2EE development experience including Java, Servlets, JSP, XML, JavaScript, HTML 2+ yrs of experience in Struts, EJB, JDBC 3+ yrs of experience with OOAD and Design Patterns 2+ yrs of experience in UML 1+ yrs of experience with O/R mapping tool such as Hibernate or TopLink 2+ yrs of experience with WSAD/RSA and WebSphere Application Server 1+ yrs of experience in JUnit - Experience with RUP process Experience with development of framework/re-usable components.

 

Experience Preferred: Experience with PVCS or equivalent J2EE and OO design Patterns, JSF, Ajax, EJB, object to relational mapping tools Ability to communicate effectively with peers.

 

Education Required:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
