LEAN SPECIALIST

Position Overview:This department is responsible for the orchestration of the global transformation of the Automotive Manufacturing leadership and Supply chain to a lean organization. Work on short term issues including inventory, capacity, and On Time Delivery using lean principles and rule to educate associates on the use of lean structure and problem solving technique both in the class room and on-site. This position is responsible to travel globally on a routine basis driving fundamental procedural and cultural change.  Also, responsible for changing the thought process of the organization to lean thinking and rapidly solving problems at the root cause level.Refine and promote tactics, and specific multiple program work plans and resource needs for lean efforts. Responsibilities1.  Identified as a key Change Agent for the Automotive business in the long-term sustainable implementation of Lean culture and techniques. 2.  Develop time lines for assigned projects3.Select and develop high payback targets of opportunity for lean focus in a varied plant and administrative environment.4.Collect data from numerous plants and outside companies5.Document process of projects6.Interface with all plants and Automotive organizations7.Form, evaluate and manage teams.   Identify resource gaps of teams along with coordinating and providing lean direction with Order Fulfillment and purchasing to implement multiple projects. 8.  Interface with multiple Manufacturing plants simultaneously OR interface with non-manufacturing organizations to evaluate and improve product paths key outputs.9.   Improve all performance aspects of the Automotive business including OTD, Flow, Capacity and Inventory leveraging.10. Assist in multiple projects in the development of six sigma and lean manufacturing efforts.11. Provide resource evaluation and recruitment and train in concepts. Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Engin.,Org. Dev. or Communication with 5-10 experience. MASTER in MBA with 3-5 experience. in Lean Implementation Experience with 4-6 experience. Working knowledge base of manufacturing, order fulfillment & sales/mktg with an understanding of lean integration of these areasConversant in lean and interval scheduling practicesLarge project management skills, leadership strengths and attributes verbal, written and presentation skills, technical background, and can work on multiple project.Works easily with cultures throughout the globe (Europe, China, Brazil) Desired: Team recruitment, building and dynamic skills, computer skills - PC & mainframe Watch our video to  learn more about us. www.timken.com
