Light Commercial Vehicle Product Manager

QUALIFICATIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSResearch long and short term product trends, within limited market segments of the truck industry, to provide guidance on the content of Daimler Truck North America's (DTNA) new and existing Light Commercial products.REQUIREMENTS: Provide Product related expertise for assigned truck product(s) and segment(s). Develop short and long term strategic product plans and promote related product improvement activities. Act as the authority for assigned product market needs. Provide guidance on the content of DTNA Light commercial products. Research long and short term product trends and identify new product requirements, track competitors’ actions, and product component usage and interface with component vendors to ensure information on product developments is available. Interface with all departments (engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, etc.) to insure assigned products receive regular product updates, Data Books are up to date, reliable and contain the appropriate product option coverage. Identify long term trends and develop definition for future product designs. Interact with DTNA business partners for relevant product updates including BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related technical discipline. Masters degree in Business or a related technical discipline is preferred. At least seven years marketing experience or related product experience in Engineering, Customer Order Administration, or Field Sales/Service. At least two years project management experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
