And because we are expanding so rapidly you’ll have tremendous opportunities for professional development.  SUMMARY:Develop and manage advanced Kia product concepts and strategies to support KMA’s long-term sales volume/profitability objectives and overall brand direction. Long-range product strategies directly impact Kia sales, production, and profitability. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Under direction of the National Manager, develop long range product strategy proposals for existing Kia models and new concepts.· Collect and analyze data and decision analytics to support strategy/planning for Kia vehicle line-up/positioning, power trains, alternative fuels, audio/technology and connectivity, launch/timing, target customers, and related product planning decisions. Develop a “market understanding” related to key consumer trends, demographics, segment dynamics, competitive analysis, product strengths/weaknesses, sales/market trends, and key relationships that effect demand. Prepare senior-level reports/presentations on Kia product strategy plans/recommendations. Execute various ad hoc strategic product planning assignments that require in-depth analysis of primary and secondary market research from multiple sources (Strategic Vision, R.L. Polk/Insight, PIN, etc.).QUALIFICATIONS:Education:· BA/BS required; MBA preferred Overall Related Experience:· 3-5+ years of automotive product planning/strategy or related experience. · Ability to identify relevant patterns and trends, think strategically toward product solutions, and concisely communicate them. · Ability to work with consumer research/data from multiple perspectives.· General interest in and understanding of the automobile industry.Directly Related Experience:· Advanced automotive product planning and/or strategy · Automotive market research/analysis and planning · Product development for current and next-generation vehicles· Knowledge of basic automotive technology, industry trends/direction, segments, competitors, and key issues facing the industry.Skills:· Competency with mTAB, PIN, Polk/Insight, and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)· Competency with market research resources including Strategic Vision, Maritz, J.D.
