For over 25 years, Hegman Machine Tool (HMT), a full service 4 State machine distributor, has helped our manufacturing customers be successful by selling them high end machining solutions and service.  Our main line for CNC machines is Okuma. Okuma is a world leader in the development of computer numeric controls (CNC) and machining technology which produce excellent reliability, accuracy and repeatability - "to print" tolerance.


HMT currently has an opening for an experienced, self-starter to manage one of our 3 Minnesota territories.  This position will be responsible for all sales activity in the southern territory. HMT is a sales driven organization that rewards our Sales Engineers for running their territory like their own business. We seek an experienced, mechanically minded, enthusiastic, detail oriented sales professional who wants to make a six figure income.  Our compensation plan does not taper or “cap” out so your earnings are limited only by how hard (and smart) you want to work.  You will travel extensively within your territory and develop new, or meet with existing, key decision makers to identify their company’s needs and how HMT can improve their operations with our products and services.


Qualifications:Candidates should have strong mechanical interest or background. An AA or Bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience including technical problem solving. Proven sales skill and success at multiple levels from the Board of Directors to the end user. Excellent written & verbal communication skills; strong phone skills;, strong attention to detail & Ability travel locally is a must.

Plans work well – plans the most efficient method of performing work within his/her territory, plans the sales process well. People Skills/Communication – relates to and communicates with diverse personalities and in diverse situations
