Join the 4,000 employees found throughout our New York City headquarters, and in 20 factories and distribution centers throughout the country…and world.MACHINIST/TOOLING AND DEVELOPMENT TECHNICIANAs a key member of our Electro-Mechanical Engineering Department, you will work directly with Engineers to fabricate, assemble and develop tools, jigs, fixtures, test equipment and prototypes.Responsibilities include:interpreting drawings and electronic drawing filesassisting in the implementation of control systems by mounting sensors and other control devices on machinery and in boxesidentifying and developing tooling improvementsmaintaining shop equipment and toolsensuring safety in the Engineering work shophandling other related duties as necessaryTo qualify, you must have 10+ years experience as a precision machinist and be familiar with building dies, jigs, fixtures and electro-mechanical test equipment.Ability to plan/organize work to efficiently produce tooling that meets design intent, and experience selecting ferrous and non-ferrous alloys for specific fixturing is essential, as is an understanding of pneumatic circuits. Ability to interpret layouts, pipe up machinery, and use dxf/dwg files will also be expected. We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
