Machinist

Clairon Metals Corporation in Covington, GA has immediate openings for experienced Machinists in our New Tooling and Die Maintenance departments.  Positions are available on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.

Job duties include assembling, repairing, and fabricating metal parts by operating mechanical equipment, such as mills, lathes, surface grinders, cutoff saws, drill press, and end mills. Uses blueprints and design sketches to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished product.

Qualified candidates must have at least two years of experience working with the power equipment listed above and blueprint reading.  A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

All candidates must have the ability to work independently on time sensitive projects in a fast-paced environment.  Candidates must be able to speak, read, and write in English, be able to lift up to 40 lbs., have a stable work history, and excellent attendance record.
