QUALIFICATIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSREQUIREMENTS: •Assist the VP SS&M in recommending and formulating the annual budget for all marketing, advertising, sales & service training, publications, trade show participation and corporate meetings. Evaluate and target funding sources for the Center for Education.•Develop 1,3 and 5 year business plans for the Center for Education and see that all projects are completed within the established goals and budget.•Use various media to create consistent Thomas customer experiences while accomplishing the goals of the Suspect to Prospect process. Guide the work of defined project teams responsible for creating, testing, developing and delivering specific media experiences. •Monitor customer satisfaction and other performance metrics for the Suspect to Prospect process. Manage the results of all activities to achieve the targeted performance levels.•Develop and maintain relationships with key internal customers and stakeholders of the Center for Education (i.e. Customer Support, and Sales Experience teams and Dealers.) Work closely with other team managers and members to achieve the targeted performance levels.•See that all marketing, training and documentation materials, both on-line and print, are fully integrated with a common look and feel across all touch points.•Schedule, direct and monitor all marketing, display ad development, media schedules, web experiences, wall calendars, ‘Bus Report’ newsletters and sales literature development with the company’s advertising agency(s) of record. All activities shall be completed on a timely basis and within the established departmental directives and budget. •Perform or contract for photography (still or video) for the sales and marketing & training departments as required. Performance of photography shall be within the time frame requested and within the budget. Keep company equipment in good working order and under lock & key. A supply of our various sales videos and DVDs shall be kept on hand to be distributed where appropriate.•Coordinate media affairs, press releases and public relations with Daimler Trucks Communications and TBB’s public relations agency of record. Media requests for interviews, and information shall be handled with courtesy and promptness. Subject matter of “sensitive”, nature shall be conducted with input from the General Manager of Daimler Trucks Communications. A steady flow of press releases shall be kept before the industry press. Press Releases may be authored by an outside source and approved by Daimler, and VP SS&M. •Responsible for all aspects of the corporate image including, but not limited to the use of the corporate logo, graphics on company vehicles etc.•Responsible for the execution of local community relations programs and event sponsorships as directed by the President & CEO and the VP SS&M•Monitor all customer visits and plant tours to ensure that process maps are being followed which will ensure a memorable visit to TBB’s facilities. •Keep current all Center for Education accounts payable by promptly coding and approving invoices on at least a weekly basis and delivering them to the accounting clerk.•Fulfill requests from Daimler Trucks North America for information, photos, display vehicles and promotional items.•Manage cooperative marketing efforts with Detroit Diesel, Diamler Truck Finance, Carrier A/C and other selected vendors.•Travel will be as required and authorized by the VP SS&M to successfully plan and execute the above outlined duties.•Perform other duties as directed by VP SS&M.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Four-year university degree (B.S. or B.A.) and 10 years advertising, marketing, and/or sales experience required. Excellent communication skills and project planning skills are desirable.
