Market Analyst

Background/Qualification:

· Four-year College or university degree, or a minimum of three years sales and/or marketing / market-research experience. Strong database skills, and knowledge of the automotive industry

 

Responsibilities/Description:

· Prepares monthly sales and production recap reports for industry analysts and internal reporting.

· Prepares quarterly OE future Product Plan summaries and gives input for Corporate Market Development Department for their quarterly report “Medium term economic and industry development”

· Prepares annual summary reports of take rates of various products and vehicle applications

· Prepares executive and customer presentations as needed

· Observes competitor market activities and prepares competitive profile reports for a comprehensive global competitor database and a NAFTA database

· Represents the company at trade association meetings

· Conducts annual analysis of all of our products used by OEMs to determine supplier volumes and market shares and our competitive position for the passenger car, light - medium and heavy truck markets. 

· Contributes to internal planning and the SUP process with market data, volume information and data formation.  Prepares charts, graphs, analyses and reports on an as-needed basis when requested.

· Monitors OEM future platform/model plans and timing.  Maintains updates and distributes product cycle charts quarterly.

· Monitors our content in North American vehicle platforms / models and updates corporate overview and database.

· Maintains a central reference area containing various types of information on the vehicle industry economics and markets.

· Cooperates on new business opportunities, studies and innovation-trend reports.

· Complies with all QS9000 policies and procedures.

· All other duties as assigned.
