Marketing Representative

Responsibilities This position coordinates the activities of the marketing department, and assists the Marketing manager with the day-to-day responsibilities of the department, including promotion of planned marketing programs and advertising material for the Auction.

Job Description Assist Marketing manager in developing strategic marketing plans to achieve Auction objectives for services and upcoming sales. Develop and execute marketing programs to reach goals regarding revenues and profitability. Assist in conducting market research to identify opportunities for increased sales. Assist with development, production, and distribution of promotional and collateral materials to support sales and marketing programs. Assist in the planning and execution of promotional activities including print, electronic media, trade shows, direct mail, displays, and science. Help maintain customer database and assist in internal and external mailing/e-mailing lists. Attend and assist in Sale-Day activities including: employee involvement, distribution of promotional information/items or assisting in any area of need. Review schedules and customer requirements, determine the staffing levels needed to meet them, and assign personnel accordingly. Assist manager in counseling and disciplining employees as necessary. Under the direction of the manager, plan, monitor and evaluate employee job performance, and assist manager in conducting performance appraisals. Perform other duties as assigned by manager. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Graphic design experience required.1 - 3 years customer service experience required. Experience in the automobile industry or the Auction business preferred. Strong communication and interaction skills required. Effective and competent customer service, sales/marketing, and organizational skills required. Good computer and software knowledge essential (Word, Publisher, AS400 Systems.)Degree in marketing or advertising preferred.Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Vision abilities required include close, distance, color, and depth perception.
