JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Independent creation of proposals and actual designs for products (even at customer).Creation/management and control of drawings, and parts list, according to Brose/customer requirements.Completion/support for design activities relating to engineering tools (e.g. DFMEA, A-D Checklist, etc).Responsible to make available the designs in a timely manner to support releases/deadlines (e.g. -100 release).Maintenance and control of project specific design results (customer/Brose drawings, kinematics, data exchange, etc).Participation in review meeting for creation/modification of specifications.Active participation in design related meetings (e.g. A-D Checklist, DFMEA, Development Team).Processing of engineering changes, and drawing modifications.Considers all valid Procedures, Job Instructions, and Organizational Instructions.Adheres to all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Catia V4 and V5 (mandatory) and CAD Design software. In addition, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office software package (Outlook, Excel, Word).Minimum of four years experience in Catia design of mechanical/electrical devicesKnowledge of GD&T. Familiarity with TS 16949 and ISO 14001.Associates degree or four years related professional experience in the automotive field and with related experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
