Mechanical Engineer / Designer

Startrak designs and manufactures wireless data acquisition modules that are mounted on mobile refrigeration equipment (trucks, trains, containers).  As such, our electronics must function over temperature extremes while at the same time being subjected to rain, snow, ice, vibration, power washing, etc.

We are looking for an experienced mechanical engineer who can assume responsiblity for the following areas:
Design of ruggedized packaging for our systems Design of reliable wiring harnesses Design of mounting brackets that will withstand the vibrating environment Preparation of production drawings and Bills of Material for the above Supervision of lab testing of the above
The successful candidate will be able to work on a development team with little supervision, interfacing directly with outside consultants, customers, OEMs, sales and marketing people as required.  Careful attention to detail a must.  Other details about this position:
Must be proficient in 2D AutoCad Familiarity with CorelDraw a plus 3-5 years experience minimum
Experience in packaging of electronics a plus
