Mechatronics - Internship

QUALIFICATIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThe internship will involve competitive analysis of competitor’s vehicles electronics and communications networks architectures. The internship will be located at Freightliner LLC headquarters in Portland, Oregon. REQUIREMENTS: •Perform analysis and reporting of competitor’s electronics systems and vehicles architectures. •Assist in the analysis of commercial vehicle digital communication systems based on the embedded digital communications (e.g. CAN, and SAE - J1708)•Evaluate commercial vehicles industries advances in electronics systems designs.•Fundamental digital communications and embedded software development experience is required.•Will work closely with other disciplines, including (but not limited to), test engineering, technical service systems, and marketing. •Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as personal computer office automation and presentation skills are required.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Need to have completed at least 2 years of a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Computer Systems Engineering or related technical discipline. Must have strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Position is available immediately. Students who can work for a minimum of 4-6 months are preferred. Students who can work full-time are preferred; however part-time will be considered.
