NC Programmer

Buckner & Associates has been retained to identify and recruit an NC Programmer for Caterpillar’s East Peoria, Illinois manufacturing plant. Qualified applicants should review the position requirements and apply as described below.

 

NC Programmer



 

Job Description: The primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, programming for NC manufacturing processing, robots, quality monitoring and improvements, as well as safety and ergonomic improvements. Key areas of responsibility in this role include any or all of the following:

 

  ▪ Drive the elimination of process waste

  ▪ Increase velocity and efficiency

  ▪ Achieve quality standards through PFMEAs and MQ12005

  ▪ Develop sustainable processes with standard work and focused RIWs

  ▪ Perform needs analysis and initiate ideas

  ▪ Evaluate processes of systems

  ▪ Communicate results to customers, suppliers, team members, and other business units

  ▪ Contribute to the design of new products and processes

▪ Collaborate and support other engineers, managers, marketing personnel, customers,  and suppliers

▪ Maintain technical currency

▪ Represent the company externally

 

Additionally, this individual will be an active member of several process action 6 Sigma teams.

 

Minimum Requirements: The minimum prerequisites for this position include the following:

 

  ▪ Unigraphics NX and Pro/Engineer experience

  ▪ Bachelor Degree in Engineering and Manufacturing or equivalent programming experience

▪ 3-5 years working in a manufacturing environment

▪ Strong communication, teamwork, interpersonal skills

▪ Ability to work within a concurrent product and process (CPPD) environment
