Actron products serve three distinct categories: Scan Tools and Code Readers, Automotive Diagnostic and Test Equipment, and Instrumentation including tachometers and a variety of gauges. Actron brings exceptional, easy-to-use, comprehensive equipment that puts the power of fast, accurate diagnostics back into the hands of the consumer. Dedicated engineers and leading edge manufacturing techniques combine to produce the best quality product available to customers.Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, the companys brands and product lines include Actron precision electronic solutions for automotive DIYers, Kal-Equip automotive diagnostic instruments for professional technicians, Sunpro tachometers and panel gauges, and Faze tachs and gauges for todays hottest new sport compacts. Job Summary This position is responsible for providing leadership, strategy and execution at performance distributors and retailers to maximize sales penetration, obtain optimum market share and the greatest profit potential for the retail brands. National account customers include retail/jobber auto parts chains with or without service bays, discount/mass merchandiser chains with or without service bays, strategic e-commerce accounts, industrial/automotive mail order catalogs and specialty manufacturers. Position will also manage big box retailers and automotive retailers at a national level. Responsibilities 1. Formulate sales strategy by determining sales projections and performance goals that are consistent with achieving all of the national account sales and marketing objectives for the retail brands, (Sunpro, Faze, Autoxray and Actron). Continuously evaluate sales progress and make appropriate changes when necessary.2. Advance strategic relationships with key customers (at the highest level) to enhance the teams performance.3. Targeting and securing new business opportunities with performance distributors, automotive retail chains, mail order catalogs, jobber/retail chains, specialty manufacturers and strategic e-commerce accounts. Develop and implement innovative marketing programs and promotions that grow sales at optimal profit margins.4. Manage information and communicate with the customers and senior management on a regular basis. 5. Continually evaluate sales probabilities, market trends, pricing, competition, and new product opportunities while traveling in the field reporting back to management as information becomes available. Qualifications 1. Bachelors in Business or Automotive Aftermarket preferred.2. 5-8 years sales national account management experience.3. Previous experience in national account field sales at the HQ level is a MUST.4. Knowledge of distribution and the automotive aftermarket industry.5. Demonstrated account management experience, hands-on, dynamic, aggressive business leader.6. Strategic thinker, heavy on execution and delivery of results.7. Ability and willingness to travel 50% (domestic) for first year is a MUST.8. Skilled at managing information within a sales team, customers and the company.9. Demonstrated ability in meeting and interacting with top decision makers.10. Willingness to develop technical competencies, asks questions and helps others' development.11. Orchestrates resources, brings in others to maximize total company performance. Compensation Excellent base salary ($70K to $90K ) plus monthly commission potential; commensurate with experience and education. Monthly car allowance. Quarterly and annual bonuses based upon sales revenue and sales margin. SPX is an EOE.
