National Accounts Manager
Note: Please disregard the APPLY NOW function and send your resume to ryan.hart@spx.com to apply for this position.GENERAL SUMMARY This position is responsible for developing, implementing and managing complex OE diagnostic solutions and sales strategies through effective account management of major OE customers or groups of OE customers to grow sales. The position is focused on typical sales activities, such as identifying opportunities, preparing and presenting proposals to OE customers, and participating in trade shows and other customer interaction opportunities. Responsibilities also include support of departments such as Customer Service, Technical Support and SPX global operations who are involving in supporting an OE diagnostic solution. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Conduct evaluation of customer potential and develop account plan to achieve complete penetration of Service Solutions electronics and diagnostic capabilities while expanding sales, profit and growth with the customer by leveraging SPX Service Solutions capabilities. 2. Plan, organize, control and coordinate all electronics and diagnostic opportunities, by working independently with key departments and management to achieve end result.3. Conduct internal and external research to remain familiar with diagnostic trends, Service Solutions capabilities, competitive activity in the marketplace and within the customer. 4. Coordinate technical presentations for the customer, by leveraging internal expertise and resources.5. Visit customer regularly and develop positive relationships with key contacts at account site(s). Network within customer’s Service, Engineering and Parts organization so that they are aware of and reliant upon all of Service Solutions electronic and diagnostic capabilities.6. Anticipate customer needs and work continuously with customer to contribute solutions using SPX Service Solutions capabilities.7. Conduct research into possible solutions to customer needs through sale of DES or other Service Solutions products.8. Schedule, support and participate in tech suites, trade shows, customer events, and other product presentations.9. Present proposals to decision-makers at customer and support presentations made within customer to approval committees. 10. Effectively communicate OE needs for Service Solutions products to SPX management, development groups and manage the project from start to finish, with assistance of internal departments and resources11. Through internal networking, leverage SPX global resources to support customer initiatives, and maintain consistent communication with the SPX global locations.12. Demonstrate knowledge of company electronics, diagnostic and information management products, services and policies.13. Capable of completing projects on time with general instruction and guidance while maximizing profit. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Electronics or related degree required.Minimum of 5-7 years relevant work experience. § Good analytical and problem-solving skills involving high technology solutions.§ Excellent skills in persuasion and negotiation.§ Good knowledge of diagnostics/electronics.§ Self-starter with “drive” and the ability to work independently or with groups.§ Ability to understand financial information and analyze financial aspects of a business transaction.§ Demonstrated experience and success working in a fast paced, matrix environment satisfying multiple customers both internal and external. § Proven track record of meeting commitments with the highest standards of ethics and integrity.§ An excellent team player.§ Effective communicator, able to tailor approach to audience.§ Excellent verbal skills – logical and organizedü Writtenü Listeningü Presentation§ Excellent management/organizational skills§ Ability to multi-task to effectively handle numerous projects, initiatives and issues.§ Ability to prioritize work focus based on varied criteria, deadlines, OE needs, situational urgencies and departmental objectives.§ General understanding of electronic and mechanical devices and ability to converse intelligently regarding OE vehicle systems and components.§ Proficient in Microsoft applications: Power Point, Excel, Word and Access SPX is an EOE.
