Network Engineer

/ - Formally engaged with the network planners to ensure the introduction of new solutions is consistent with current operational technological components. - Formally engaged with the network planners to provide input to improve the overall network management methods and systems. - Formally engaged with the network planners in the Vendor Management process. - Formally engaged with delivery personnel of the IS Infrastructure ' Service Delivery group to ensure proper network deployment and management. - Ownership of Network Fault Management process. - Responsible for global Wide Area Network (WAN), Local Area Network (LAN) and Wireless LAN (WLAN) Level 2 support. - Responsible for incident status reporting - Ownership responsibility for global network performance monitoring. - Responsible for all activities and measures to enable and/or maintain the intended use of the global network (WAN, LAN and WLAN) infrastructure with high levels of performances and reliability. - Responsible for the creation and/or upkeep of existing WAN, LAN and WLAN network documentation. - Assist in WAN issues to support the managed WAN environment. - Commitment to being on call and/or 'reachable' 24x7. - Able to work in a global cooperative team environment, including working non-standard work hours (i.e. to participate in global conference calls or problem resolution) when needed. - Willing and able to travel abroad - Ownership of Network configuration process with primary responsibility for the upkeep logical and physical inventories information. - Responsible for Project Managing global network deployment. - Responsible for logical network installation and configuration. - Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. - Typically has 5-10 years of IS and business/industry work experience. - Strong Cisco WAN/LAN/WLAN experience in an enterprise environment required - Minimum Cisco CCNA certification required; CCNP preferred. - Project Management skills - Strong analytical capabilities, able to solve complex problems. - Strong inter-personal and relationship management skills - Knowledge in Enterprise Management tools and best practices - Knowledge in multiple network technology domains ' LAN (Wired and Wireless), WAN and expertise in at least one architecture domain. - Linux experience an asset.
