Engine – Machining Specialist

 

Technical expert for the machining area in engine shop of an automotive manufacturing environment.  Job requirements include the analysis and improvement of current production processes and coordination of new model and launches.

 Serves as technical expert of assigned area during new model and new vehicle launches.Coordinates and leads project activities, including design, supplier selection, and implementation phasesAnalyzes & continuously improves performance of assigned area (Safety, Quality, Production, and Cost & Human Factors).Continually reviews technical developments in area of responsibility; proposes new technology projects as appropriate.

 

Qualifications/Requirements

Technical background including: data collection, analysis and problem solving skills.

Ability to work with minimal supervision and information in changing environment.

Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally; effective follow-up, organization, and interpersonal skills

 

Education

High School / GED

2 year Technical Degree desired

4 year degree or comparable background of work related experience desired

3 – 5 years job related experience preferred
