Operations Business Analyst

JOB TITLE: Operations Business Analyst
DEPARTMENT: Operations Planning
REPORTS TO: Operations Planning & Analysis Manager
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
PREPARED DATE: March 2008

SUMMARY: Provide data mining activities and some analysis both on a regular and ad hoc basis. Serve as admin support for VP of Ops and Director team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following:
(Other duties may be assigned.)

Analyst Responsibilities

 Runs all Field Operations, Call Center, and QA reporting and disseminates to management staff.
o Volume, headcount, cost, quality, service, activity based costing for modeling, call center/customer service metrics
 Completes ad hoc reporting as needed
 Validates and ensures data integrity within the Operations reporting environment
 Identify & resolve any data discrepancies that arise from reporting and/or analysis
 Log process changes to include dates and changes to process
 Supports the creation of budget documentation and analysis for management staff
 Manages small scale operations projects as needed

Admin Responsibilities

 Coordinate travel for Corporate Ops Management
 Arrange logistics for Corporate Ops meetings including room, food/beverage, and
special requests
 Orders supplies for office environment
 Fill in for Operator as required

QUALIFICATIONS:
 Superior analytical abilities, including the ability to analyze existing reports and processes to identify improvements/opportunities.
 Ability to problem solve and recommend solutions for operational and financial improvements.
 Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
 Ability to compile data for statistical analysis on existing and new reports for quality purposes.
 Strong computer skills
 A basic understanding of business management areas such as:
o Field Operations
o Call Centers
o Business Planning
o Analysis
o Process Documentation
o Project Management
o Quality Assurance


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelors degree in business preferred.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Required Microsoft Suite with strong Excel skills
