Operations Supervisor

Glovis Alabama is a global automotive logistics company providing integrated supply chain solutions to Hyundai Motor Manufacturing.  Out Montgomery operations is seeking a Supervisor for the PM Team.

 

Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

1. Supervision - Provide oversight and direction to the departments to deliver on our mission of 'Right Part, Right Time, Right Place'; Establish and/or enforce procedures ensuring compliance with Engineering Order alerts, FIFO inventory, the quality and care of inventory and to prevent service defects.

 

2. Standard Operating Procedures - a key driver in the organization with the ability to exceed expectations and reach our measurable goals will be the consistency and precision by which our team follows the formalized standard operating procedures.

3. Measurable Goals - Zero line down time; maintain balanced inventory, Inventory Control to achieve 99.5% inventory accuracy; delivery of financial goals - work within labor budgets; loss due to accidents, material damage, workers compensation.

 

4.  Workforce Management - lead as a model of ethics, morale and motivation; Coordinate and implement work schedules that ensure top class service while positively effecting Glovis O&M budget and profit; reinforce procedures ensuring acceptable attendance, workplace behavior and support of team goals.

 

Qualifications:

 

1. Success in managing employees in a team oriented environment; Progressive levels of responsibilities in a warehouse, transportation or other logistics related functions; Strong with MS productivity tools; Familiar with WM, SAP or other ERP systems; Exposure to high volume manufacturing environment; analytical, problem solving, communication and leadership skills preferred, strong written skills required and ability to articulate ideas; display willingness to make decisions; exhibit sound and accurate judgment; support and explain reasoning for decision, makes timely decisions; works with appropriate people to make accurate decisions.

 

Qualified candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related discipline preferred; Candidates with a minimum of 5 years of Supervisory experience and no Bachelor's degree will be considered.  This position offers a competitive base salary and a comprehensive benefits plan.  We are looking for candidates who are highly motivated and have a strong desire to work for a growing company.
